  1. I have thought much on what I can say to those who did not get the privilege of meeting Dakotah. And all I can say is, I am truely sorry. Though not the top marcher or first trumpet, Dakotah will forever be engraved in my mind by his Dedication, love for music, and his abilities to, no matter what, make you laugh. Dakotah would say hi to every single person as they got on the bus, everytime to everyone. Doesnt matter if its 3am at a truck stop or simply picking up something from the bus. His continued humor and awkward comic relief was oftentimes to many members a reminder to step back and laugh.
Dakotah was a kind, generous, and fiercely driven man. Seeing him grow to nowhere near his full potential will forever be on my mind.
This year, its for you Dakotah. So you better listen because its going to be great.

  6. It will hurt. Begining will hurt. The middle will hurt. But the part that will hurt most of all is the end, the pain of no longer hurting is worse than anything. Push for the end. Push through the pain. And you will be rewarded with unspeakable happiness.
